The Embassies Act (2018)

Short title: Embassy policy
1. The qualifying criteria for a forum based embassy shall include:
i. The region must have a legitimate government that is capable of maintaining a diplomatic relationship*
ii. The region must be more than two months old
iii. The region must not be a sponsor of terrorism and/or any hateful ideology*
iv. A state of war or hostilities must not be in existence between the region and Londinium prior to the application*
v. The region must have an active offsite forum, such that the forums of the region concerned do not go silent for more than 1 week
vi. The region must consist of no less than 30 nations
vii. The region must not have taken any action intended to threaten or intimidate Londinium, and must not have publicly denounced or insulted Londinium with the intention to cause harm, within the past 60 days*
viii. The applying region must ensure the presence of a diplomatic representative to the Londinium forums in order to apply and complete the application for embassy creation
ix. The region must ensure that their forum embassy in Londinium maintains activity such that an update or other post is provided at least every month.
*These requirements are subjective, and are therefore enforced and reviewed at the trusted discretion and judgement of Prime Minister and Chief Diplomat of Londinium as well as other necessary officials.
2. If at any point in time, a region with an existing forum embassy falls out of co-ordination with the requirement listed above, the Chief Diplomat or another authorised official shall provide the necessary warning to the government of the erring region. If the region continues to fail to meet the necessary standard, the forum based embassy shall be closed.
3. The qualifying criteria for an onsite embassy shall include:
i. The region must have a legitimate government that is capable of maintaining a diplomatic relationship*
ii. The region must be more than two months old
iii. The region must not be a sponsor of terrorism and/or any hateful ideology*
iv. A state of war or hostilities must not be in existence between the region and Londinium prior to the application*
v. The region must consist of no less than 50 nations, or provide interregional services to at least 20 other regions. The Prime Minister or Chief Diplomat May choose to make an exception to this rule in instances of significant development.
vi. The region must not have taken any action intended to threaten or intimidate Londinium, and must not have publicly denounced or insulted Londinium with the intention to cause harm, within the past 60 days*
*These requirements are subjective, and are therefore enforced and reviewed at the trusted discretion and judgement of the Government of Londinium.
4. If at any point in time, a region with an existing onsite embassy or forum embassy falls out of co-ordination with the requirements listed above in Section 1 or Section 3, the Chief Diplomat or another authorised official shall provide the necessary warning to the government of the culpable region. If, one week after this warning has been issued, the region continues to fail to meet the necessary standard, the embassy concerned shall proceed to be closed immediately (be it an onsite embassy, a forum based embassy, or both).
5. The Government may not be necessarily restrained in the closure of any Embassy.
6. i. Defines a “Diplomat” as anyone with influence over embassies.
ii. The Prime Minister of Londinium shall have the authority to approve an embassy request provided the region concerned meets the requirements set forth in this Act, to reject any embassy request and shall possess the incontestable power to overrule any other Diplomat on reasonable grounds.
iii. The Chief Diplomat or equivalent shall have the authority to accept or deny a new embassy request on the Prime Minister's behalf; and shall be responsible for overseeing the creation and maintenance of embassies of Londinium in foreign regions.
iv. Other Regional Officers with the embassy authority are prevented from denying embassy requests that fulfil said criteria, however may send requests to regions that agree with the requirements.
7. The Prime Minister may issue any Embassy policy not mentioned or covered here in.
8. This law and any versions hereforth enacted relating to Embassies; shall be posted in any constructed forum side Embassy.
