I agree that that's a good idea - titles could be granted to recognise success in a particular area.

Would titles come with more power like maybe more votes or special voting powers?

I'm interested in hearing the Monarch's perspective on this since he'll be heavily involved.

Would titles come with more power like maybe more votes or special voting powers? Personally I don't like this idea, however I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks. Everyone in the upper house gets a title, and being in the upper house gives more voting power. I think titles should be allowed to be given to others, but they should not come with any special rights - they should be solely honorary and symbolic positions to show that someone is appreciated in the region.

This is my thought right now. I like the fact that we are a constitutional monarchy where the people retain most of the power, and the power of the nobility / monarchy is relatively small.

I agree with Bymaria in this matter. I concur with the previous points. I don't disagree with the idea of conferring titles on certain individuals, I just disagree with the idea of having those titles give an individual greater rights than others.

I think that there should be some way to make debate less personal in the Parliament. In many countries, members are given special titles in order to avoid referring to each other by name. Is there some way this could be possible in Londinium?

They also do that in Canada.

In my current draft of the rules of order, members may only address the Speaker during debate, and may only make reference to other members using their formal titles.
