The Assemblyman from _, the Right Honorable Member from _, that sort of thing. That's what I thought, but then I filled in the blanks and all you get is "The Right Honourable Member from Nyelant" or "The Assemblyman from Southern Aurgediam", which is almost the same as calling them by name. Maybe we should call them by seat number. e.g. "The Right Honourable Member of Parliament holding the fifth seat". I think that sounds a tad weird though. Maybe we use the name of our capital? ex. "The Right Honourable Member of Parliament for Nyestat". I think the last one sounds the best.

Well when I started this I was thinking about titles given out by the monarch to Show gratitude towards a member who contributed greatly to anything regarding Londinium. Like LC was honoured by giving him the 'royalty' tag , I saw it as something Players would get after doing something very well that can be Seen by others. It was the idea of Prestige to Show what you have done. Since we have no Chronic or Archive for former Ministers , Parliament members etc. All what someone did will be lost.

Yeah I think that as well... I just don't want to make Parliament personal. If there's a debate in Parliament that is especially heated, then I don't want anyone feeling attacked because of their ideas. Sometimes when you call someone by and tear holes in their idea, it can hurt, so we shouldn't refer to anyone in Parliament by name. That's why I think we should have titles in Parliament, but I totally agree with the prestige titles as well.

So maybe there could be Kinds of titles. One being the title or name a honoured Player wants , like "Prince" , Count , Marshall etc.
But I dont see the Reason why anybody would fell attacked! We are All reasonable enough to not swear or insult somebody directly and in the end its just words , why would anybody be offended by discussing an idea? And if this Person gets offended by rippig an idea to shreds, what difference will it make what they are called , if they are offended by something different ?
I think Parliament members should give the full name of a spokes Person send to the Parliament , which they can make up (just to create a persona , so we can let a bit of roleplay Flow into it) or just use the nation name, since it is not their real name either.

I was just going over every possible situation. "Frankly, the ideas proposed by Nyelant should never have been proposed!" - "I agree!" I can see how someone could feel that it was them personally being critiqued.

Well then maybe we need to make a Protocol about how to speak to people and not what to call them.

Good thought , but renaming something doesnt change the thing. If you call it a car or an automobile, it stays the same thing. But if you change how to speak about that thing , that will make a difference.

Well then maybe we need to make a Protocol about how to speak to people and not what to call them. How about this (blatantly stolen from the Canadian Parliament) Or in proper parliamentary language Or in proper parliamentary language relating to the Assembly of All Of course, there's more to rule II than just that. Speeches may not be addressed to an individual member, unparliamentary language may not be used in the Assembly, etc.

1. The Hon. 2. The Right Hon. 3. Baron 4. Count 5. Duke 6. His/Her Royal Highness 7. Honored Citizen
This is just a start and these are in no certain order. Of course within reason you can tell which comes first.
