Here are a couple I learned recently to start us off:
1. The most remote spot in Scotland, which is near to Fionn loch, is only 5.7 miles from a road.
2. The Apollo astronauts’ footprints will likely stay on the moon for at least 100 million years, because there is no wind or water to erode or wash away the marks.

A friend that knows a lot about snails sent me this:
Snails can have lungs or gills depending on the species and habitat, but some marine snails can have lungs and some terrestial snails can have gills.

Genghis Khan's use of archery and cavalry together was significant in his conquests. His archers on horseback could shoot from practically any direction, and would time their shots when all four of their horses' legs were in the air during a gallop, providing the archer with the cleanest shot possible.
