The Londinium Today The official paper of the Londinium Monarchy Edition 01 | November 27th, 2017 Parliament removes Saint Ehm after contentious voteSovereign Fortwhile asked the Parliament to consider the removal of Assembly Speaker Saint Ehm due to a long period of inactivity after his unsuccessful attempts to take over the region. Saint Ehm was elected Speaker in an uncontested race last August. Since his election, he was frequently inactive and objectively did not discharge his constitutional duties. His calls to overthrow Sovereign Fortwhile and Prime Minister Bymaria were some of his only posts on the forum in weeks. The Parliamentary vote was close, however, with MPs Pontustan and Nyelant voting to remove and MPs Nesearan and Austriahungary officially abstaining. MP Yawin-Tsevlino did not cast a vote. There was contention on the floor of the Parliament whether this vote had actually passed or not. Sovereign Fortwhile called an early victory, but several justices called into question the final result. Prime Minister Bymaria, as chair of the Parliament, declared that the vote to remove had indeed passed. The court has since weighed into the controversy, however no judicial order has overturned the final decision of the Chair to rule the motion as passed. Elections on the HorizonThe three month term of the Parliament and government is about to expire, and new elections will soon be called. Rumor has it that Sovereign Fortwhile will begin opening nominations for office on December 2nd to allow for a week of campaigning and three days of voting. Citizens have been critical of the short voting times in the past, which the Monarchy promises will be extended this time. There is presently no word about whether Prime Minister Bymaria will seek another term. His time as Prime Minister has been marked by high population growth, decent forum activity, and impressive judicial appointments. Some have critiqued his Cabinet however, which at times has been less active and visible than desired.

If we don't have one, I would recommend putting this up in a Embassy thread on the NS forum's.

I think I'm going to write a list of suggestive advice for the Region since I'm an old player that's been in NS since 2013. I feel that some things need nurtured.
Thank you, Majesty

The Londinium Today The official paper of the Londinium Monarchy Edition 02 | January 7th, 2018 Parliament passes bills with little discussionThe Londinium Parliament has been hard at work this term, considering some half-dozen bills. Much of this legislation - often dense - has been passing with only minimal discussion among the MPs. Discounting voting posts, legislation has an average of 5 posts per bill. The Styles Creation Act (2018) has had far and away the most discussion, with 13 posts. Other bills have only 3-5 discussion posts, with the majority of those being calls to move to a vote. Many bills only sit on the Parliament floor for 72 hours before being moved to a vote. Some MPs have also been away from Parliament since the holiday season, contributing to a feeling of "sleepy discussion." While germanempire has only recently been appointed as an MP, the people have not heard much from MPs austriahungary or pontustan. However, it is worth noting that this has easily been one of the most productive Parliaments in history — worthy of great applause in is own right. germanempire appointed MPSince the General Elections, Parliament has had one vacant seat. Sovereign Fortwhile has had a call out for citizens who want to serve, and only Deputy Prime Minister germanempire answered the call. Germanempire, a veteran of the region, has served as Chief Diplomat, Deputy Prime Minister, Pro Tempore, and now an MP. Accepting the position, Germanempire said: "I hereby accept the appointment and want to utter my gratitude."
