For the purpose of allowing a Consul in office more time to meet their objectives in service of Londinium, and to provide a more efficient spacing of time between Consul elections,
I submit this bill into debate 09/05/2018, to take effect for the September 2018 Consul election:
Article 1 of Section II will be amended to the following:
[1.] The Senate, every three months, shall elect a Senator to serve as Consul. For the purposes of implementation, the elected Prime Minister will assume the position of Consul upon enactment of this document and serve for a total of 60 days before another election is held.

I submit this bill to the Senate for debate.
I left the 60 day part because it has no bearing on upcoming Consul elections.

I don’t know...
Wasn’t the idea that shorter terms increases our activity and mean we aren’t stuck with an inactive or unpopular consul for an extra month? Since we don’t have term limits any more, I don’t know if the change is necessary — we’re all doing a lot of jobs at the minute anyways and pretty much all Senators take up an important position in running the region under whatever Consul. Alternating head of gov. power between some of us could work pretty well...
On the other hand 3 months isn’t that long and I suppose we could get more done. I really don’t know. *yawns, falls asleep into pile of schoolwork*

Don't forget that with the increase in members we've had, we can expect an increase in activity/Senators.
I feel like 3 months is a good balance because it allows frequent elections (4 a year), but enough time for each administration to make a difference.

I tend to prefer 3-month terms, but I think it works either way.

Given the lack of discussion, with United Barbaros consent, I shall move this to vote.
