Honorable Members of Parliament,
Under our current Constitution the mandate of this government expires on March 9th and new elections must be held. However, due to the current discussions in the Assembly of All I feel it would be best to postpone elections until we determine the future course of our government.
I am hereby proposing a constitutional amendment that allows us to extend this current government until these discussions conclude.

Erm... Not sure about that. Today is the 25th of February, so there are 13 days until the election day. Normally things in the region are resolved within a few days, at most a week, so I feel the postponing of elections unnecessary.

Even then, though, elections usually take about a week from opening standing to electing new officials.
