Hey all, hoping to get some ideas for building some new recruitment telegrams to test. Here's the current one:
It would be super helpful if you all could share:
1. What you liked about the telegram (you came after all, so it had to be something) 2. What you might change 3. Any unique ideas you have that we could put in to attract new members

I like the paragraph that refers to spammy messages from other regions, and think it would be better positioned at the beginning of the telegram. For example:
------------------------
Greetings New Leader,
Welcome to Nationstates!!
You are doubtlessly getting countless spammy messages from regions who have hundreds, if not thousands, of nations and rarely care for new members. I would like to invite you to join me as one of the founding members of a new project—a new region, called Londinium.
Our region's core values are:
* Strength * Self-Determination * Unity
As one of our founding members, your nation will establish itself in the history books of Nationstates. You will not be dictated to by existing Lords or region elders. In Londinium, you get to be the leader. You get the honor.
Ready to move? Just click the button at the bottom of this message!
If you have any questions, let me know. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you.
Yours, most sincerely, Fortwhile
---------------------
The "Strength, Self-determination, Unity" part may sound a bit vague or cookie-cutter. We should give quick examples of how those things play out if you join the region, like...
Strength: [quick blurb] Self-determination: [quick blurb] Unity: [quick blurb]
One thing I think you could sell in the telegram is that people who join have the opportunity to shape a brand new, quickly-growing region. Talk about how we're currently setting up the government, and emphasize that we want fresh, active voices to give their input. That could tie into the points above, as well.
Self-determination: run your nation as you see fit. Unity: work with neighbors to shape region government and diplomacy.

I think mentioning about new recruits being founding members is good right now, but I think it's going to start working against us at some point. We're still relatively small, so it might still be okay for right now. Down the road however, we don't want nations to see that they'll be a founding member, but then get deterred by Londinium having a good to large number of nations. They'll see it as a ploy.

Id ad that we are a monarchy themed region and then point out that you can do what you want with your nation . That could help with the point of Self-Determination.

I think we can keep that language in a little longer, but once we hit ~75 nations, we probably need to do a massive revision.

I think we want to make sure we have enough nations to stay active. Right now with 50 nations we have about 10 nations (ballpark) who are active on the forum and RMB. If only a few of those nations leave or go inactive, we could suddenly be a really quiet place. I don't think we need a thousand nations, but I do think we want to make sure we are growing enough to keep things lively and fun!

Go to the administration of Londinium. There on communications you will find the option of Region- Wide Telegrams.
