On the surface, I like this proposal and support it. I think it is an effective "rebranding" of a government similar to what we had already, while pruning a lot of outdated language and unused branches.
I'm not sure how I feel about the Senate as a whole voting on the guilt of a person, but I think it will be a more efficient system than three guys in armchairs who sit around and have to poke other people to get things done.
The requirements for staying in the Senate came as a bit of a shock to me at first, but they seem like a reasonable measure with an eye toward the long term rather than the here and now.

Right now the Consul appoints an Aedile. You think we should make that an elected position?

So I guess this also means we do away with a PM, and elections for that matter? The Consul is elected by the Senate, and the Senate is self-electing. So there will still be voting! The idea is that most citizens will be in the Senate, but it will be meritocratic in that to stay in you must perform some kind of regional service (recruitment or serving in the army). It's a big shift, but could be an interesting way to involve more people AND make sure they are productive? Oh yes that's right. I somehow forgot that part.

I'm not committed to it, but I think another election, especially one not limited to senators, would be nice. Maybe a position with more responsibility for the RMB as well, like a mix of the Tribune and the Aedile.

I like the fact that there is something to ensure that senators contribute. I think the pressure of actually meeting the obligations will mean they are more concerned about getting some valuable work done alongside other duties. The requirement of being in a political party I think could be a real boost.
Was it meant to be a Roman and British theme, though? I can only see really see Roman elements being added and all the British ones removed.

The idea that the Senate will have much more responsibility also appeals to me.

It's not quite Roman and British mixed, it's like the sub-Roman period of Britain (think like, right after the Roman withdrawal). I tried to think of ways to differentiate from Rome, but that period is very chaotic. The title "High King" is taken from that period. I also considered having a cultural officer called the "Bishop of London" because that was apparently also an influential title. I'm open to suggestions.

The Bishop of London title could go to the WA Delegate Oooh i kinda like that. I wonder if we should make that position elected now? No shade to Bymaria, of course.

But it's good that we're finaly getting this regional culture idea done with, it's been rotting on the forums for a bit of time now.

I would support making it an elected position. Would solve the potential lack-of-election-activity-problem we had earlier. And I’m no longer WA locked and can get involved with the militia.
