OOC: Sorry for not being so active this week, but I have been occupied with a debating competition, but it is over now and luckily I am through to the next round! From what I understand, you now want me to bring the resolution to remove Saint Ehm before the parliament to vote. Yes, unless MPs have further debate. This vote would only be in the Parliament, for MPs only - as a reminder!

This vote would only be in the Parliament, for MPs only - as a reminder! How do we currently record MP support. Shall I create a message thread to ask each individual MP their opinion, or is there a way to create a poll here on the off-site only for MP’s? We could use a thread individually for support of motions.

I feel like you should just "call" the vote in this thread and have MPs vote by posting "aye" or "nay". Keep it all in one place for future reference.

OOC: Congratulations on moving on to the next round Bymaria! Agreed, however, the response that contains the voting information should have a special format, maybe something like this?
Roll No._The question is on [question]. Members will log their vote by replying, "Yea," "Nay," or, "Abstain." Voting will be open for the next 48 hours. So for this resolution it would be: Roll No.1The question is on the approval of P.Con.Res.1: Removal of Saint Ehm. Members will log their vote by replying, "Yea," "Nay," or, "Abstain." Voting will be open for the next 48 hours.
Just a thought.

To be honest, I like the formal format, but at the same time, I feel like it's a little restricting. I think maybe just having Bymaria phrase the question or issue up for voting in an official or presentational way without an official format is good. That's just IMO.

I like the governmental "Yea" "Nay" and "Abstain" answers though. Those should definitely be used when voting.

I now call the resolution on the removal of Saint Ehm to vote. If our MP’s would please answer “yea”, “nay”, or “abstain”. Voting will close in 48hours.
Yea: Nay: Abstain:
We could use the above format to give updates as the vote moves along.

It seems that this motion has passed. The two abstains are noted.

It seems that this motion has passed. The two abstains are noted. I wouldn't say it has. Doesn't it require a 2/3 majority for the removal of a member?

I think it would be best for the judiciary to review this matter, but the question is should an abstention be included when counting votes. Is it 2/3 of the entire membership or just those who vote?
