The North American Periodical
Series 1, Article 10
Issued by the Service Sequence of Publications (SS.Pub)
Statement from the Service Sequence of Publications:
The statement previously issued by the SS.Pub. is still in place. Publishing without authorisation from a local Publications Division Quarters will result in imprisonment for threacherous behaviour.
All people of first rate Japanese, Chinese or other Asiatic immigration are asked to contact a local C.C. Units for further information on Relocation Programs.
You have been warned, thank you for your understanding.
Establishement of the People's Republic of Manchuria: After the Manchu War, Soviet troops kicked out Japan and temporarily incorporated Machuria into the USSR, but the struggle of the Machu people and the atrocities commited there by the Empire of Japan has deeply touched Vozhd Josef Stalin, who has decided to give them their own state, the People's Republic of Manchuria, which will serve as a bulwark against Japanese Imperialism in the region and strive to unite all former Chinese lands under the Red Banner of the Workers.
Soviet invasion of Iran:
Soviet troops aided by the Mongol People's Army marched into Iran and quiclkly captured Tehran, with the Persian Army having no will to fight, they were disarmed and a Communist Authority has been established over the North as Soviet troops march south in order to push the remaining British forces in Iran and to seize the oil fields in the south of the country.
This invasion was due to the fact that Iran was increasingly pro-British with accounts of ambassadors forging fake passports for German Jews to escape to Iran and the needed aid to the Axis allued state of Iraq, which had been crushed by British Imperialist forces.
British Invasion of Portugal:
The United Kingdom has launched a naval invasion of the Portuguese mainland, keen on ending the threat ove it's colonies, and has established a beach head in Porto with 12 divisions of the British Army and accompanied by British Air superiority over the Iberic nation as a bombing campaign has been launched over the capital city of Lisbon.
At the same time, British troops and native Rhodesian infantry have halted the advance of Portuguese forces and have started to push into Mozambique from South Africa, encircling the administrative city of Maputo. Portuguese forces in Africa are expected to quickly collapse under a naval blockade and the invasion of the homeland while Luso-Indian Goa has been siezed by UK.
Greece still pushing back Italian troops:
Greece has continued their seemingly miraculous string of victories against Fascist Italy, with more and more needed troops being taken away from the Greek border by the Italians due to the invasion of France, Greece has secured all ethnically Greek lands in Albania and has yet again stipulated for peace between them and Italy. The response to this by Mussolini has been, of course, refusal to concede to Greek demands and has brought more troops from Lybia and the Horn of Africa in order to maintain the front in the Albanian highlands.
Empire of Japan invades Macao:
Following the defeat in Manchuria, Japanese forces have been disorganised and experienced multiple catastrophies in China, losing almost half of the land they had controlled before the Machu War. To bring back moral, Japanese troops have occupied the Portuguese city of Macao, using it as a future jumping point for a second invasion of Mainland China.
Franco's Spain refuses to join the Axis:
Francisco Franco, Spain's fascist dictator, has recently said that he refuses to join the war on the side of the Axis or any side for that matter; his country being torn by the civil war and still weak, would serve no purpose but to extende the Axis even more, as such Spain would not be joining the war.

Portugal joins the Axis and Brazilian Armed Forces join the portuguese war effort, wearing portuguese uniforms and equipment including the new 'Espingarda de Assalto-39' a new concept of firearm meant to deliver to the Luso-Brazilian troops a weapon with a fast rate of fire 300rpm, a magazine of 25 7.62mm riffle munitions, an effective range of 250m and CQB abilities. It combines both the abilities of the AP-25 bolt riffle and the PN-18 SMG, used since late WW1. The new weapon started to be delivered to the recruits on the frontlines and has proven a sucess against the LeeEnfield riffle.

It should be 1940 by now nes
Ps: Germany (Me) as the leader of the axis has not agreed to an alliance with Portugal, so Portugal is not in the Axis. That would have to be nagotiated with the german government.

SUOMI BANNER
New Finnish State Security Act
PARLIAMENT — Lindberg’s ruling Sosiaalisen Yhtenäisyyden Puolue succeeds in passing “fundamental”, security legislation.
The Act grants increased powers to the state to ensure the functioning of a productive and prosperous Suomi. There is an emphasis on new powers in dealing with what the government has named “anti-Finnish” efforts and propaganda, including enemy prints and publications, along with violent and illegal opposition gangs.
Included in the bill were certain articles granting powers only applicable in the defence of the realm, such as drastic action to set a national curfew, force longer working hours on the population, demand government acquisition of property for use by the gov., and to enforce strict discipline on the general populace. It also allows for (in extreme and necessary circumstances) the President to issue a decree on any matter, overriding any Parliamentary veto.
Another key component to the bill is changes in the education system. Principles of patriotism, the Socialist Unity ideology and Finnish/Eastern enlightenment are to be taught in schools, along with a compulsory daily national pledge in the workplace and all public institutions.
Minority groups in Parl. worked as a spanner in the works of an otherwise high calibre government, attempting to block these legislative efforts clearly aiding our national defence and security; but unsurprisingly to no avail.
Let’s hope the Lindberg administration keeps up the good work! Long live Finland! Now enjoy the crossword on page four, don’t overthink anything.

Germany breaks the French defence lines and France capitulates
The german forces have successfuly broken the french and british effort to hold France as they now march into the French capital.
After the encirclement of the Maginot line and the capture of Paris, alongside the rapid assaults from the south and advances along the coast the French government met with the german high command and surrendered informaly while ceasing all hostilities to prevent more casualties from happening.
German Forces are proceeding to advance into all corners off the country and are capturing more and more soldiers of both the French army and the british reinforcements that had no chance of fleeing while securing all of France.
The german victory in France makes the british empire the only power to oppose the Reich in europe and peace talks are said to be underway between the british and the germans. German leader and Reichskanzler Adolf Hitler announced:
"A war between the two germanic nations of Britian and Germany is unnecessary and regretable to every extent humanly imaginable. I have set my mind on peace between the two great nations of Greatbritain and Großdeutschland. It is not MY intentions to wage war and the decision will be made by Britian if they want to continue this unnecessary bloodshed. I am willing to have a dialogue and a compromise!"
British army pushed back from their positions in Norway
The front in Norway is being stabilized by the german reinforcements as they have halted the british advances and are begining to push them back, up North and out of the country. With the help of the norwegian army and a great effort of the SS much of the lost ground could be recovered.
Germany announces that Hungary joins the Axis powers
Today Hungarys Miklós Horthy signed the pact and joined the german lead Axis powers. This is seen as a sign of a changing balkan attitude towards the greater German Reich and their efforts, which is expected to bring more nations towards the right path in Europe.
